Measurement Instructions

This guide should assist you in making the proper measurements for your new cage.  Once correct measurements are made we can give you a more accurate price quote.

Facing the home with the unit between you and the home measure the length marked #1; this length is the length on the rear top of the unit away from you.  Measure from corner to corner of the unit; try to be as precise as possible (do not round your numbers down).  Once you measure the rear length do the same to the opposite side to make sure that both sides are the same length.

Standing in the same position measure the length marked #2; this length is the right top side of the unit.  Do the same as you did with the measurement in #1, making sure that you measure both opposite sides.  Once you measure the height do the same to all four sides to make sure that all sides are the same length.  If unit is not the same on all sides email photo with your measurements.

Now that you have the measurements for the top of the unit you need to know how tall the unit is (as illustrated by length #3).  Measure from the bottom of the unit (do not measure the pad) to the top. Do not round your numbers down.

This next step is only for those who have an air conditioner pad.  An air conditioner pad is a pad that most (not all) units rest on.  Please note the type of pad you have.  For example:

1.  Solid concrete.  This type of pad is usually poured concrete, and we recommend that the pad is at least 4 inches this for proper installation of your armor.

2.  Foe pad.  This type of pad is made from styrofoam covered with a thin layer of concrete (a simple tap with a hammer will let you know if pad is true concrete or not).  Listen for the hollow thud.  If unit has a thud the pad is foe and you cannot install the armor onto pad.  You will have to install pear holes on the outside of the existing pad.

3.   Plastic, if you have a plastic pad you will also need pear holes on the outside of the pad to install your armor.

Facing the home with the unit between you and the home measure the length marked #4.  Make sure you measure all four sides.  Some units only have a pad on one side.  If this is the case, measure all sides, take a photo and attach it to your email.  We need both side and front views to determine the correct armor.

Facing the home with the unit between you and the home measure the length marked #5 and #6, making sure that you measure both opposite sides.  If one side is not the same, make sure you note in your email.

Once you have all the measurements, email them to us and specify the cage you wish to purchase for correct pricing.  Please ensure that if photos are needed that they are attached to your email.
